National Milk Producers Union (SOUZMOLOKO). Goals and mission.

The main goals of the UNION are: ensuring cost-effective conditions for milk production, providing timely information for the members of the Union on the situation in dairy industry, stimulating milk quality improvement and efficiency of milk production in Russia, as well as representing and protecting Union members interests at state and municipal authorities, public and international organizations.

The National Dairy Producers Union (SOUZMOLOKO) was founded in January 2008. The CEO of the National Dairy Producers Union is Ayrat Khairullin, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors is Andrei Danilenko.

The National Dairy Producers Union activities include the following course lines:

    1. Creating economic conditions that will stimulate quality and effectiveness of milk production by the members of the Union.
  • Monitoring the dairy market basic indices, that influence milk production.
  • Promoting implementation of new technologies by the members of the Union, that increase the production efficiency.
  • Joining the efforts of market members in creating special economic conditions for the Union members according to milk quality and production volume (terms of payment and extra payments for the quality, contract liabilities, etc).
  • Creation of the ‘quality trademark’, based on raw production quality and production volumes according to the highest modern standards, providing special advantageous conditions for the ‘quality trademark’ bearers.
  • Creating the unified milk producers database according to the following criteria: geographical location, production volume, raw produce quality, regional market requirements.
  • Promoting supply and marketing cooperation, as well as collective procession cooperation between the Union members in order to increase production earning capacity.
    2. Coverage of accurate and timely information on the current situation in dairy industry for the Union members.
  • Gathering and distributing the materials on scientific research and best practice of milk production among the Union members.
  • Providing consulting services on implementation of modern technologies in dairy farming, including special advantageous conditions for the Union’s ‘quality trademark’ bearers.
  • Guaranteed transparency and timely disclosure of the information on the Union activities.
  • Creating the unified information system on dairy market condition, prices (milk purchase prices, fodder prices, etc), and any governmental regulations concerning milk producing enterprises for the Union members.
  • Organizing and conducting the events on information exchange, education and mutually beneficial cooperation.
  • Data collection and analysis on current condition and implementation stage of governmental and regional milk producers support programs.
    3.Representation and protection of the interests of Union members in their cooperation with milk processers and other interested members of the market.
  • Creating mutually beneficial conditions in order to increase profitability, the effectiveness of milk production and long-term cooperation with the processers.
  • Maintaining the price balance and objective conditions and advantages beneficial to all the members of the market.
    4. Representation and protection of Union members in state and municipal authority institutions, non-profit and international organizations.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of programs promoting Russian dairy industry development and improving milk quality and production volumes.
  • Representing the Union members’ interests during the specification and implementation of governmental regulations on milk production.
  • Interaction with federal legislative and executive bodies regarding the development of legislative and statutory acts regulating milk production, processing and marketing (“Technical regulations on milk and dairy products”, “On state regulation of trade activities in Russian Federation”, etc).
  • Regular participation in the sessions of the State Duma, Federation Council, President’s Administration, parliamentary hearings, councils on various issues of domestic food market at the Ministry of Agriculture, Russian Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology, Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service, Russian Government Commission, international forums and conferences.
The National Dairy Producers Union has signed cooperation agreements with the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation, Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service and Russian Union of Dairy Enterprises.

Chairman of the Board of SOUZMOLOKO A.Danilenko and CEO of Danone - Unimilk F.Kegels paid a working visit to Paris and Brussels

During the trip Andrei Danilenko and Filip Kegels visited Danone headquarters where together with Chairman and CEO of Danone Frank Riboud they have discussed prospects of the Russian dairy industry as well as the plan for further cooperation between Danone and SOUZMOLOKO (Danone - Unimilk joined the National Dairy Producers Union on June 16).

During the visit, under the cooperation Memorandum between two countries, the cooperation agreement between the Russian National Dairy Producers Union and the Dairy Association of Slovenia came into force. The purpose of the agreement is to mutually stimulate the development of dairy sector.
